The Seed
The first meeting.
It al began when Abu spoke to Tobias for the first time on Facebook. Abu was reaching out to people online to somehow change his situation, until he found someone that took the time to talk to a complete stranger.
Not so well.
It became clear that Abu’s situation was a dire one. His family was doing not so well. He was simply reaching out with a quiet desperation.
An intuïtive feeling.
Tobias sensed something special was going on here. He was already leaning into Bitcoin related companies, while making a little profit and he began seeing Bitcoin as a freedom technology and knew that his journey along that path, somehow took him to this very moment.
He felt that something profound was about to take place, something he had been waiting for his entire life.
Purpose.
Soon after, Abu expressed all of his concerns: how the passing of his father left a significant imprint on his family and that he had to stop his nursing studies to take care of his younger siblings. Tobias had an epiphany moment, you know, that moment when you feel life has plans for you, and it had been all leading to this single point in time.
Personal stories were shared and plans were formulated.
Things moved quickly and there was an instant bonding between the two. Personal stories were shared and trust was simply there, there was no room for doubt in their hearts.
Falling into grace.
Abu was facing some financial downturn; he was between a rock and a hard place. Tobias was able to lend a hand, and Abu responded with joy. Both men were happy they had this moment of grace and Bitcoin was able to make it happen.
The universe sometimes orchestrates very special moments, like some grand magician painting a complex canvas—an intrinsic web of synchronicities that only becomes clear and full of purpose in hindsight. This was certainly one of them.
Hearts of love.
Both men were simply put together by design. They say that like minds meet, and these two were destined to work together. A seed was planted that day, a seed that would grow into something very beautiful indeed and their hearts already knew. They were ready to start their journey, a journey that would lead to the birth of The Ripple Foundation.
